Tharfield is a small, family run kennels and cattery set in the beautiful village of Fishbourne in West Sussex near Chichester.
Our aim is to give your pet an enjoyable stay, whilst giving you peace of mind that it will be looked after by people who really do care for your pets wellbeing.

Opening Hours - DROP OFF/ PICK UP
DROPPING YOUR PET OFF
Mon - Saturday: 8am - 2pm / DROP OFF
PICKING YOUR PET UP
Mon - Saturday: 8am - 12noon / PICK UP
Sundays and Bank Holidays: 8am - 12noon / for DROP OFF and PICK UP
Day Boarding: 8am - 6:30pm
TRIAL: 8am - 12 noon
Viewing/Tours
We always encourage new clients to come and view our facilities and to discuss their pet's requirements with us before boarding.
Viewing times are 11am - 1pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday. No appointment necessary, no need to phone, just drop in and we'll show you around.
TRIAL NIGHT!
All NEW DOGS
are required to complete an over-night trial with us prior to a longer stay. This is to ensure that they are going to be happy in the kennel environment.
You will be asked to drop off in the morning and to collect the following morning. We would expect you to be able to pick up if we thought your dog was not going to settle in to a kennel environment. Please give us a call for a chat and to arrange this.
FOR BOTH TRIAL NIGHT AND DAY BOARDING
We have agreed with the local council that we can not accommodate
dogs that constantly bark in the kennel environment
due to our residential situation.
Please bare this in mind before booking a trial night

Unfortunately we are having to adjust our
rates from 1st March 2026, given increasing costs.
We will be sending
amended booking confirmations over the next few weeks.

PRICES ARE PER NIGHT
Cats £14 (was £13.00)
2 cats sharing £25.20 (was £23.40)
3 cats sharing £37.80 (was £35.10)
Dogs £24 (was £22.00)
2 dogs sharing £43.20 (was £39.60)
3 dogs sharing £64.80 (was £59.40)
Day board staying at £27.00
Late collection (2pm to 6.30pm, not including Sundays) £27.00
Trial Night £14.00 (was £12.00)
WE WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING PAYMENT BY CARD
AS OF SEPTEMBER 1ST 2025
Payment will be accepted by cash or bank transfer (Details upon request)
Day Boarding
We can provide day-care for your dogs between the hours of 8am - 6:30pm. While staying during the day your dog will be given 2-3 off-lead exercises in one of our secure paddocks and food can be given if required at 4pm
Day boarding is not separate from the main kennel occupancy
and during the day your dog will be housed in one of our kennel blocks.

We are closed from Oct 22nd
and reopen 13th November for maintenance
